Kevin I. Dukert, 50, of Pinehurst died Friday, March 27, 2009, at his home.

A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, April 1, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, in Pinehurst, with the Rev. James M. Labosky officiating. Rite of committal will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Southern Pines. The family received friends Tuesday, March 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Boles Funeral Home in Pinehurst. A prayer vigil was held at 7 p.m. during the visitation.

Born Nov. 28, 1958, in Broad Axe, Pa., to the late Andrew A. Dukert and to Laura Zebrowski Dukert, he was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Pinehurst. He enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, painting, and home repair jobs. He loved the game of golf.

He is survived by his mother, Laura Dukert, of Pinehurst; two brothers, Bernard A. Dukert of N. Wales, Pa., and Timothy Dukert, of Ft. Washington, Pa.; one sister, Barbara Ann Smith, of Columbus, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew A. Dukert, in 2006.
