The final Arts in the Park event for 2008 features juggler extraordinaire Mark Lippard at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Camelot Playground in Cannon Park, Pinehurst.
Presented by the Arts Council of Moore County and Pinehurst Parks & Recreation Department, this is the last in a series of three family events, which includes free face painting from 10 to 10:45 a.m., and of course, play in Camelot Playground.
Arts in the Park is free and open to the public. In case of rain, the performance will be in Assembly Hall of the Village Hall (395 Magnolia Road, Pinehurst).
"All attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to sit on during the performance," says a spokesman.
Lippard's performance is fast-paced, high energy and full of wild and crazy visual antics. His show includes comedy, amazing juggling, trick unicycling, balloon sculpting, fire eating, stilt walking and lots of audience participation.
Lippard has appeared on ABC's "Good Morning America" and many other television stations across the country. Since 1986, he has performed professionally across the United States, Jamaica, Japan and Russia. He was also the winner of the prestigious International Jugglers' Association team championship with the innovative group, Manic Expressions.
