Belk has planned an exciting afternoon for future brides, grooms, family and friends when they present its bridal in-store event in the Home Department from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21.

Area business people, experts in their fields, will be there to help offer advice for planning the perfect wedding.

Businesses include A Travel Center; Aldena Frye; Botanicals; Brides Etc.; The British Cab Company; Dave Nicoll Photography; the Hampton Inn; First Casualty Insurance Group; Lady Bedford's Tea Parlour; the Bakehouse (formerly Max & Moritz Bakery); National Golf Club; Pine Prints; Quality Sound DJ; Simply Sara; Wings of Love Doves; and Wiselyn Studios.

Belk's own wedding consultants will help couples select and register wedding gifts from among many of the most-wanted items in the Home Department, including cookware and serving pieces from well-known chefs, Lorena Garcia and Paula Deen.

Biltmore Estate, whose fine china, linens, luggage, home dcor and more is exclusive to Belk, has added four new lines of bedding.

Registering brides will receive a gift from Belk and be eligible to win door prizes.

Among the festivities will be a fashion show at 2:30 p.m., featuring fashions perfect for the trousseau. Light refreshments will be served.
