Union Pines completed its non-conference portion of its schedule with a loss to visiting New Hanover Friday.
The visitors from Wilmington wasted no time in establishing the tone of the contest, scoring on its first five possessions on its way to taking the 40-0 win.
New Hanover led 33-0 at halftime. Union Pines never threatened to score, as its record dropped to 2-2 for the season.
