Union Pines has announced that two games scheduled for Wednesday have been postponed until today (Thursday). The Vikings boys' soccer home game against Southern Lee will be played at 7 p.m. Thursday, while the girls' tennis team will travel to Overhills for its rescheduled match.

At Pinecrest several changes have also occurred in the schedule.

The freshman Gold football team scheduled to play Hoke County will now play on Oct. 30, while the boys' junior varsity soccer game set for last night (Wednesday) at East Chapel Hill has been postponed until Oct. 6. Pinecrest has two junior varsity boys' soccer teams. The team that was to play Scotland last night (Wednesday) has been postponed. No date has been set for the makeup game.

There are also two jayvee football teams, with the site for tonight's Green team has been moved from Pinecrest to Memorial Field on Morganton Road in Southern Pines. The game will start at 4 p.m.

A busy day of football for Pinecrest also includes a junior varsity game at 7 p.m. between Pinecrest and Southern Lee at the John Williams Athletic Complex.

The postponed jayvee football game between Union Pines and North Moore will be played Sept. 22 at North Moore.
