Pats Win Volleyball, Falcons in Tennis

The Pinecrest volleyball team bounced back strongly from last week's loss to Scotland by picking up a 25-17, 25-23 and 25-14 victory at Richmond Senior Tuesday evening. The win raises the Patriot record to 2-1 in the Mid-Southeastern Conference and 6-3 overall.
Kelly Lovely led the Pats in service points with 12, and Luciana Pilatti was credited with three aces. Tatiana Suvorova, Ashley Sweeting and Addy George shared the lead in kills with seven apiece. Also for the visitors, Morgan Ridge contributed 17 assists and four digs.
The Patriots are at home on Thursday with Hoke County providing the opposition in a 6 p.m. start.
O'Neal Wins in Tennis
The O'Neal School girls' tennis team defeated Fayetteville Academy 7-2 Tuesday in its first home match of the season.
After dropping the first two singles, the Falcons won the rest of their matches. They go into Thursday's 4 p.m. match at home against Village Christian Academy with a record of 2-0 in the CFIC Conference and 2-0 overall. Fayetteville Academy fell to 0-1 and 0-5.
