RSVP Community Theatre announces auditions for its October production of "Twelve Angry Jurors."

Auditions will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 6, and from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8.

All auditions will be held in Asheboro's Moring Arts Center at 123 Sunset Avenue. No preparation is necessary.

Performances will be Oct. 2326 at the historic Sunset Theatre in downtown Asheboro. Rachel Downey, of Greensboro, is the director.

"Twelve Angry Jurors" is based on the Emmy Award-winning television movie "Twelve Angry Men."

The adaptation allows for both men and women in the cast. All of the action takes place in a jury room, where a diverse group of jurors deliberates the fate of a 19-year-old accused of fatally stabbing his father.

As prejudices surface, the arguments become more and more heated from the initial vote with one dissenting juror to the final climatic scene.
