Robert Carnegie, 58, of Sanford, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, at Central Carolina Hospital, Sanford.

Mr. Carnegie was a former member of the U.S. Marine Corps.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday, CornerstoneChristian Empowerment Church, directed by Bostic-Kendrick Funeral Home, Southern Pines.

Burial: Womack Cemetery

Survivors: fiancee, Bernice Marble, of Sanford; a sister, Frances Lassiter, of Sanford; four brothers, Jimmy Carnegie, Harold Carnegie, Bernard Carnegie, and Richard Carnegie, all of Sanford.
