Twenty-two local nonprofit organizations are now selling tickets for Belk's Fall Charity Sale, set for Nov. 15.
Local organizations throughout the company's 16-state market area were recipients of more than $4 million raised at the May 3 charity sale. The organizations earn $5 for every ticket they sell.
The four-hour, in-store shopping event offers an excellent fundraising opportunity for participating organizations and a chance for customers to support worthwhile charities and take advantage of special discounts on purchases made during the event.
In return for a $5 donation -- $5 that will be deducted from their first purchase of $5 or more at the event -- customers will be entitled to receive discounts ranging from 20 to 50 percent on purchases throughout the store, exclusive of cosmetics and fragrances, from 6 to 10 a.m.
Belk cardholders will receive double points for card purchases.
Customers will also be eligible to register to win one of four $1,000 Belk shopping sprees.
Ticket holders who have a Belk card will be able to make pre-sell selections five days prior, beginning Sunday, Nov. 9.
Participating organizations include the American Associa-tion of University Women, the Academy of Moore County, the American Red Cross, Animal Advocates of Moore County, Backpack Pals;
Business Professional Women, Compassionate Friends Sand-hills, Friends of Moore County Guardian Litem, the Haven Friends for Life;
Kennedy Disable Sports, Kiwanis of the Pines, Marine Corps League, Miss Moore County Scholarship Association, Montgomery Moore Animal Rescue, Moore County Shrine Club;
