The 35-and-over team finished in ninth place with a 5-16 record.
The record is a bit deceiving as the team lost seven games by 2 runs or fewer.
The MVP and lone all-star for this team was infielder William Garner. He led the team with a .446 batting average and also led the league in doubles and RBIs. He also earned the Gnat Bat award.
Outfielder Ray Hutchens took the Gnats Glove award for his excellent defense.
John Meygas received the Gnat Ace award leading the team in innings pitched with four complete games, one shutout and a 3.56 ERA.
Receiving the most diligent award was RF Dennis Groff.
The 21-and over team finished with a 6-14 record, good enough for eighth place in the standings.
Garner, who served as player manager, was the the team MVP. He led the team in runs scored, RBIs and had a .379 batting average.
The Gnat Bat award went to Dan Thomas with a .500 batting average, .580 on base percentage and a .603 slugging percentage.
The Gnat Ace was Stuart Richardson with a 4-3 record, 2.28 ERA, 67 strikeouts and six complete games. Hutchens received the Gnat Glove award for this team as well.
Mr. Utility was presented to Kyle Anderson who played all nine positions on the field during the season. All-stars for this 21 and over team were Dan Thomas and Stuart Richardson.
The Sand Gnats are also recruiting as they try to expand with a 45-and-older team.
