The Pinecrest volleyball team was defeated 25-11, 25-16 and 25-18 at J.H. Rose Tuesday evening in a second round state 4-A playoff match.

The Patriots were led by Morgan Ridge with 12 assists, Tatiana Suvorova with seven kills, and Ashley Sweeting and Karmen Spencer with six digs apiece.

They complete the season at 19-7 after finishing in second place in the Mid-Southeastern Conference.

Rose, the first seed from the Coastal Plains Conference, improved to 23-1.
