Last week, my husband and I noticed all the campaign signs going up around Pinehurst and were very happy to see all the Democratic candidates' signs mixed in.

Sunday morning on our drive down N.C. 5, we noticed that the Obama signs were gone, but the McCain signs were still there. We wondered what was in the mind of the sign thieves. We speculated that they thought stealing all the Obama signs would make people forget to vote for him and vote McCain instead. We laughed at how they could possibly think voters are that stupid.

On the way home later that morning, we noticed that the McCain signs were disappearing too. Were these brilliant sign thieves realizing that with only McCain signs up it was apparent who took the Obama signs?
