Aberdeen police are searching for someone who robbed the Wilco Hess gas station on N.C. 5 at gunpoint Tuesday.

The robbery occurred at about 10:18 p.m. The suspect is described as a black man, about 5 feet 5 six inches tall, and weighing 160 pounds. He wore dark clothing, sunglasses and a stocking cap. He was armed with a handgun

The robber took an undisclosed amount of money, according to Capt. Jim Foster. He left on foot, and headed north toward the bowling ally.
