Vineland Fine Art Gallery, located in downtown Southern Pines, is hosting "Meet Marie Travisano" from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10.

Travisano is an award-winning artist with a free-flowing style and exciting sense of color.

"Come meet the artist and view her colorful and vibrant collection of abstract watercolors and acrylics," says a spokesman. "Browse the gallery while enjoying wine and hors d'oeuvres. Vineland features the Sandhills' best and brightest local artists and carries a diverse collection of art work from still lifes to portraits in a range of mediums from oils to watercolors."

Vineland Fine Art Gallery is in the same building as Fifi's and Lula's Cafe on the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and SW Broad Street. The entrance to the gallery is on the north side of the building.
