More than 100 women attended a "Fall Fashion Forecast" recently at the Country Club of Whispering Pines, as the Whispers held its annual fashion show and luncheon.

Fashions were presented by Eve Avery, Talbots and The Clothes Horse.

The fashion show luncheon fundraiser, arranged by Arlene Jenkins and her committee, Dos Nintzle, Gloria Bergmann, and Mimi Schoolcraft, featured nine models.

The next Whispers monthly luncheon fundraiser, hosted by Barbara Struble and her committee, Janice Boettger, Frances Yoder, Sandy Manninen, and Ginny Stripling, will be held Wednesday, Oct. 8, at CCWP.

Gail Mortensen-Frazer, of Pinehurst, will present a program on "colonial children's clothing."

The social is at 11:30 a.m. with lunch served in the dining room at noon. The menu will feature a chef salad, rolls and butter, along with dessert and a beverage station.

The cost is $13 per person. Send reservation checks made out to Whispers, to Frances Yoder, 12 Bogie Drive, Whispering Pines, NC 28327 by Friday, Oct. 3.
