Greensboro College wide receiver Torrey Lowe has earned Division III Conference USA South recognition for the fourth time in his college football career.

The former Pinecrest football and baseball star from Southern Pines was a USA-South first team selection after catching 91 passes for 858 yards, and scoring nine touchdowns in his senior season.

Greensboro College has prepared a flier promoting Lowe for Div. III All-American honors.

During a career of near-legendary proportions, the son of Vincent Utley and Linda Lowe rewrote the school record book, setting 25 new marks.

Among the career records are most all-purpose yards (5,418), most catches (260), most receiving yards (2,620) and most touchdowns (34). Single-season marks include his 858 receiving yards this season.

His 91 catches are both school and conference records.

Twice this season Lowe caught a school-record 16 passes in a game. He also departs with the longest run from scrimmage (65), longest pass reception (91), most receiving yards in a game (191) and most all-purpose yards (276).

Wins have been hard to come by during Lowe's four years at the school.

The Pride finished this season with a record of 2-8.

After seven years as the head coach, Neal Mitchell was recently replaced by Dr. Randy Hunt.

An exercise and sports science major, Lowe was also named to the Conference USA South All-Sportsmanship team.
