It was indeed a pleasure to attend the first annual Pinecrest Band Festival, Marching Band Competition, on a recent Saturday. Our hats are off to the PHS band director, Jim Muccio, to the band students, to the band boosters and to the people filling the stadium at Pinecrest High School.

You ran a well-organized event. It was a pleasure hearing and seeing the bands perform. Thank you for all of your hard work in holding this event.

We were proud of Pinecrest when the exhibition closed and awards were presented to participating bands.

Union Pines Band, you gave us goose bumps! You were magnificent. (North Moore, I'm sorry we missed seeing/ hearing you. We arrived a little after 6 p.m., and you had already performed.) You all made Moore County proud. Great job!
