Another week, another group of impressive scores in The Pilot Football contest. This week, for the second time this year, we had to go to our second tiebreaker to determine a winner. For those of you who don't remember, when we have a tie and the tiebreaker total points is a tie, then I put the names of those tied in a hat and have an impartial person draw a winner. This week Javan Overton and Robin Glover Gonzalez both finished with 14 correct answers and a tiebreaker score of 43 in the Carolina-Detroit game. Total points in that game was 53.
Note: Everybody was given credit for a correct pick in the Eagles-Bengals game, which resulted in the NFL's first tie since 2002.
When we dropped the names in a hat, Javan was drawn out as our winner.
Ted Schwanger finished third. he correctly picked 14 games and had a tiebreaker score of 42. Yet again, another good week.
Remember three weeks remaining until we announce the season winner. Also, remember the deadline is 5 p.m. Friday. And don't forget to write in total points in the tiebreaker game. One unlucky competitor didn't and it cost them a chance at a top three weekly finish.
