CommunityOne Bank has received regulatory approval to open office in Seven Lakes.

The new location will be the bank's third community office in Moore County. The other offices are in Pinehurst and Southern Pines.

The Seven Lakes office is scheduled to open in December. It will be at 115 Grant St. and will offer a new choice in full-service banking to the Seven Lakes and West End communities.

This will be the bank's third new office to open this year. The others are in Jamestown in August and Cornelius this month.

CommunityOne Bank is a subsidiary of FNB United Corp., and operates 45 offices in 37 communities throughout central, southern and western North Carolina.

CommunityOne began as the First National Bank of Asheboro in 1907. The name was changed to CommunityOne in 2007.
