A Southern Pines man was arrested recently after an investigation into an assault report that included the use of brass knuckles on the victim.

Southern Pines police charged Alfonzo James Knight Jr. with common law robbery, assault inflicting serious injury and simple assault relating to an incidence that happened Nov. 3 on Talmadge Way in Southern Pines, according to a press release.

The victim was attacked by several suspects, including one that hit the victim with brass knuckles, then removed a silver necklace. Also stolen during the attack was a quantity of cash.

Knight's bail was set at $50,000.
