How fortunate we are in this delightful community to have so many wonderful activities to experience and enjoy -- fine schools, live theater, great golf courses, Ruth Pawley lecture series, North Carolina Symphony and others. The Moore County Concert Band is no exception.

The band's concert Sunday afternoon at the Grand Ballroom of the Carolina Hotel was an outstanding and delightful performance. The program included Leonard Bernstein music, arias from opera, Broadway show music and stirring marches.

The program was directed by David Seiberling. He not only conducted the program but also adapted a Leonard Bernstein piece for solo, with band, and wrote one of the marches. Yes, all of this, and it was free!

Sincere thanks to the men and women who donate their time and talent and to Mr. Seiberling. Let us support this fine organization with our attendance and our donations.
