On Oct. 16, the Linden Garden Club of Pinewild held its workshop to make holiday ornaments.

The members, under the leadership of Nona Burrell and Renee Scesa, created a variety of unique designs for the Weymouth House bedroom they are responsible for decorating at the upcoming holiday open house.

After the workshop, Jeanne Leone, president, conducted the business meeting. Secretary Martha Romero read the minutes of the previous meeting, and Nona Burrell submitted the treasurer's report.

The next meeting will be held at the Pinewild Country Club at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20.

Hester Petty will present an entertaining and informative program on the history and pleasures of tea. The date of the holiday luncheon, which will be held at Mid Pines Golf Club, is Dec. 4, at 11:30.

This year's luncheon costs $17, and there will be a fundraising raffle.

"Send the checks to the treasurer as soon as possible," says a spokesman.

Members are requested to contact Dawn Munday if planning to attend the November meeting and if reservations for lunch are needed.
