A Sport Horse Versatility Clinic (SHV) and mini-competition is scheduled for Nov. 15-16 at Ed and Karen Brisson's Good Deeds Farm, 383 Hollybrook Farm Lane in Vass.

Linda Hoover, clinic organizer, said "riders will experience how using obstacles, from the working phase of SHV, enhances the training and partnership with their horse."

Participants will then have the opportunity to test their skills by participating in a fun and friendly mini-competition over an obstacle course. Each rider will be scored as if it were an official competition. Suggestions will be offered on how to refine and improve the rider's performance. The clinic offers a chance to practice for the SHV competition to be offered at the Pinehurst Dressage Schooling Shows starting in January.

The clinic is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Participation fee is $115 for a two-hour group session and mini-competition and $90 for a two-hour group session. Group sessions will have approximately five riders. For riders who have participated in a previous SHV clinic, an advanced group will be offered. Auditors are welcome at no charge.
