Below are submitted summaries for games played in the Optimist 8-10-year-old tackle football league.

Games played Oct. 11

Redskins Blank Patriots, 8-0

The Redskins, led by Carson Maples and Jack Carpenter, scored the game's only touchdown with four minutes remaining in the contest to win the game dominated by defense.

For the Patriots, Alex Holler, Steven Bristol and Sam Parsons led the defense. Offensively for the Pats, Nic Finnegan, Holler and Bristol paced the running game while Hayden Ayers completed 4 of 7 passes.

Steelers Knock Off Panthers, 23-0

Keegan Good rushed for more than 100 yards and three touchdowns as the Steelers beat the Panthers 23-0. In addition to a steady ground game, the Steelers leaned on a stingy defense led by by Sam Williams, Connor Thomas, Thomas DeLauney, Pres Remington, JT O'Shea and Kyle Corbett.

Games played Oct. 18

Steelers Hold Off Patriots, 19-6

Kyle Corbett returned an interception for a touchdown and kicked a 20-yard field goal as the Steelers escaped with a 19-6 victory over the Patriots. Corbett's field goal is thought to be the first ever made in the history of the league. Keegan Good rushed for 100 yards and scored a touchdown for the Steelers while teammate Thomas DeLauney intercepted two passes.

Nic Finnegan, Alex Holler led the Patriot offensive attack while Sam Parsons, Noah Faulkner, Steven Bristol, Cody Weicht and Chase Hensley spear-headed the defense. Christian Hiatt scored the Patriots lone touchdown.

Packers 26, Panthers 6

Three first-half rushing touchdowns helped the Packers defeat the Panthers, 26-6.

Jaylin Dickerson, Zach Branch and Jahmauri Person scored first-half touchdowns to help the Packers defeat the Panthers, 26-6.

The Packers defense controlled the game thanks to the efforts of Timothy Person, Sam Garrett and Matthew Peele.

Games played Oct. 22

Patriots Turn Back Redskins, 14-8

Alex Holler and Nic Finnegan each scored touchdowns to lead the Patriots to a 14-8 win over the Redskins. Holler rushed for more than 100 yards and Finnegan scored on a 30-yard run. Blockers Henry Duncan, Nic Mabe, Alex Logwood, Slayton Brown and Mathew Acorn paved the way for the offensive success.

The Patriots' defense was lead by Holler, Steven Bristol, Noah Faulkner, Sam Parsons, Will Lucas and Cody Weicht.

Carson Maples made 12 tackles for the Redskins while teammate Jack Carpenter led the team in rushing.

Games played Oct. 25

Patriots Handle Panthers, 22-6

Alex Holler rushed for more than 100 yards and scored two touchdowns to pace the Patriots. Christian Hiat added a two-point conversion and Hayden Ayers scored his first TD of the season for the victors. Matthew McKay had a QB sack for a safety and Will Lucas had a fumble recovery to lead the Pats defense.
