Curves of Southern Pines and Curves of Aberdeen are offering a 10-10-10 Sock Drive that will allow local residents to help out their community and get healthy all at the same time.
New members can bring in 10 pairs of new socks and join for only $10. All the socks will be donated to the Sandhills Coalition for those in need. This special 10-day offer runs through Nov. 15.
"Many people don't think about socks when donating to the needy, and it's an item that is definitely needed especially with the cold weather approaching," said Cinny Beggs, owner of Southern Pines Curves.
Cyndi Hughes, owner of Aberdeen Curves, added, "We also wanted to tie this in with Veterans Day since so many of our veterans are part of this community."
Curves wants to give back to the community while, at the same time, offering its services at a drastically reduced price during these tough economic times. New members can make a $50 donation to the Sandhills Coalition if they would like to forfeit bringing in the socks.
Anyone needing more information can call Southern Pines Curves at 246-2680 or Aberdeen Curves at 295-4380.
