Curves, Solutions for Animals Team to Help Shelters

Curves of Southern Pines and Solutions for Animals have teamed up to celebrate National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week, which runs through Saturday.
This special week was established by the Humane Society of the United States to recognize and celebrate the lifesaving rescue and adoption services provided by animal shelters such as Solutions for Animals (SFA).
All Curves members are being encouraged to bring much-needed food and supplies to support the services of SFA.
Several Curves members are actively involved in supporting the efforts of SFA, a nonprofit, no-kill shelter that provides indoor housing, quality care, premium nutrition and veterinary care for animals is rescues.
"As an animal lover and owner of four rescued dogs and one big black cat, Curves is pleased and proud to be able to support the wonderful work of Solutions for Animals," said Cinny Beggs, owner of Curves of Southern Pines.
Residents interested in supporting the work of SFA are asked to bring any of the following items to Curves of Southern Pines: scoopable cat litter, noncolored dog treats, Nyla bones, Nutro Natural dog or cat food, Clorox Clean Up, brown rice, paper towels.
Curves is located at 1115 Old U.S. 1 South across from Frankie's Coffee Shop. Items can be dropped off between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. through Friday. Anyone needing more information can call Barbara Ross at 692-2188.
