Sandsharks Compete in Sectionals

Seven Sandsharks took to the water for sectional competition recently.
Three of the Sandsharks traveled to Nashville, Tenn., to compete in the Southern Senior Sectional meet.
Emily Michael participated in the 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke and 200 individual medley. Casey Cooper participated in the 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke and the 100 butterfly. Kaylon Kirk competed in the 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke and the 100 butterfly.
Four of the Sandsharks traveled to Charlotte to compete in the Southern 14-and-under Sectional meet.
Alyssa Fish competed in the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle.
Ana Fish participated in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke. Susie Ward competed in the 100 butterfly, 200 butterfly and the 200 individual medley.
Chloe Aarons participated in the 100 backstroke and the 200 backstroke.
Kurt Wohlrab swam in the 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke and 200 individual medley.
The Sandsharks are a local traveling swim team that has more than 80 members.
The Sandsharks offer a variety of programs, including many different skill and age group levels. Swimming lessons are also provided by the Sandsharks staff.
Taylor Cooper, is the director of the Sandsharks program. His coaching staff includes Owen Herbert and Beth Field.
