The Little Patriots Youth Football Summer Camp for kindergartners through eighth-graders will be held June 11-13 and July 7-11 at Pinecrest High School. The camp hours are from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on each of the days.

Sponsored by the Sandhills Optimist Club, the camp will be led by Pinecrest head football coach Chris Metzger, his staff and area guest coaches. The mission is to provide each participant with 28 hours of the best football instruction possible.

All drills and sessions will be conducted in groups based on age. Campers will learn the basics of all positions and get instruction in several phases of the game, including strength, speed, agility, special teams skill work and offensive and defensive drill work.

Camp attire is shorts, T-shirts, athletic socks, cleats and running shoes. Campers should bring lunch and plenty of water each day.

The cost is $200 per participant. No child will be excluded because of financial hardship. Registration is by June 1. For more information, contact Metzger at (239) 248-0808.
