Jeanette Wilkie, of Thomasville, was crowned Ms. North Carolina Senior America 2008, Friday, May 2, at the pageant held at the Moore County Senior Enrichment Center.
Wilke will compete in the national Ms. Senior America Pageant to be held at Harrah's Resort in Atlantic City, N.J., Oct. 19-25.
Carole Wunderlin, of Pinehurst, was first runner-up; Ida Lee Brinkley, of Thomasville, was second runner-up; and third runner-up was Shirley Jones-Byrd, also of Thomasville. Brinkley was also the recipient of the Ms. Congeniality award.
