In a show of reciprocal hospitality, the National Music Conservatory in Amman, Jordan, has invited a group of Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra musicians to perform with the Amman Symphony Orchestra in a May 21 concert in Amman.

The Fayetteville Symphony initiated this exchange of musical talent and cultures when it invited 12 Jordanian music students of Amman's National Music Conservatory to perform with the FSO in its 50th anniversary concert in 2006, which was attended by Queen Noor of Jordan. FSO's Music Director and Conductor, Fouad Fakhouri, will serve as guest conductor for this concert that features 17 FSO musicians.

"From the New World" will be presented by the Amman Symphony Orchestra, featuring guest artists of the Fayetteville Symhony Orchestra, at Municipal Theatre in downtown Amman, Jordan, at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 21.

Daily blogs from the contingent of musicians will be available on the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra Web site www.fayettevillesymphony.org.
