Foundation Solicits Grant Applications From Nonprofits

The Moore County Community Foundation announced that it will be accepting applications from local nonprofit organizations for grants through its annual competitive grants cycle.
The foundation will be accepting proposals from charitable organizations through May 30, according to Randall Phillips, board chairman.
Funds are available from the Moore County Unrestricted Endowment for nonprofit organizations that serve general charitable needs in Moore County. A total of $6,000 is available this year.
The foundation will also be entertaining applications for grants from the John W. and Marjorie A. Roffe Endowment, for Moore County nonprofit agencies addressing general charitable needs, particularly those in the area of health care. A total of $84,000 is available this year from the fund.
Applications are available online at www.nccommunity foundation.org (select Affiliates, Moore County). Applicants may also call the regional office of the North Carolina Community Foundation toll-free at 1-800-201-9533 to request a Moore County grant application.
The Moore County Community Foundation (MCCF) is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF).
The statewide foundation administers over $119 million in permanent endowments created by individuals, corporations, organization, and other foundations to ensure the financial security of nonprofit organizations and charitable causes.
Locally, MCCF currently holds over $6.2 million in charitable endowments established to address a variety of community issues and needs.
