Members of the Pine Branch of the Pinehurst Garden Club are getting the word out about the April 26 Pinehurst Garden Club annual plant sale.

Pre-sale orders are being taken by Lynn Delgarn at 215-0811, Shirley Schultz at 235-5284 or by order from any of the Pinehurst Garden Club members.

Plants for pre-sale include flats of (36) vinca or bronze leaf begonias at $11 per flat and 6-inch pots of geraniums at $4.75, all in assorted colors.

Hanging baskets, ferns, mandevilla, lantana, verbena, and Wave petunias will be available the day of the sale. Tips for water conservation, care of drought-tolerant plants, and soil conditioners for added water retention will also be available.

All proceeds from the plant sale go to scholarships for horticultural students at Sandhills Community College, various beautification projects in the community, the Village Arboretum and the Given Memorial Library.
