It's been another successful week for the Union Pines boys' tennis team.

Losing only one match in three games this week, the Vikings defeated Harnett Central 8-1 Monday, Jordan-Matthews 9-0 Tuesday and Triton 9-0 on Wednesday. The road win over Harnett Central and home win over Triton pushed the Vikings Cape Fear Valley Conference record to 6-0, while the non-conference home win over Jordan-Matthews improved the Vikes to 8-0 overall.

Will Fondrie picked up five wins over the course of the week to become the 36th player at Union Pines to have at 75 least wins. His overall record is now 79-14.

Gary Garner broke the 80-win mark in the three wins. He is now 82-23 in his career at the school.

In the win over Triton, Jay O'Connor reached the 30-win plateau for the Vikes. He is now 30-4 for his career.

Union Pines continues conference play Monday when it travels to South Johnston.
