Osbert Greenland, 95, of Powder Springs, Ga., formerly of Southern Pines, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, at West Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park, Marietta, Ga.

The family will receive visitors two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Greenland was a native of Jamaica, West Indies, and was retired from J.P. Stevens, where he worked on the textile production line. He was most recently employed with Lowe's in Austell, Ga. He was also a Mason.

He is survived by his wife, Doretha Greenland, of Powder Springs; a son, Milton Greenland, of Texas; four daughters, Elaine Greenland, of Melbourne, Fla., Yvonne Taffe, of Florida, Vivian Varner, of Kennesaw, Ga., and Gwenette Baldwin, of Marietta; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
