Rain Washes Out High School Games

Pinecrest High School has postponed both its junior varsity and varsity girls' softball games originally scheduled to be played today (Friday). The makeup date for the games is April 16.
The school's golf team was scheduled to participate in the Keith Hills Invitational today in Buies Creek. That event will now take place April 16.
And on a final note concerning the Patriots, the varsity and junior varsity baseball teams have also fallen victim to the weather. The varsity squad was scheduled to play at Douglas Byrd. A makeup date has not been set. The jayvee squad will play Douglas Byrd at home on Monday (March 10).
Also, the soccer game between North Moore and Union Pines has been canceled Friday. This game will not be made up.
North Moore High School's girls' softball game scheduled for today at Eastern Randolph has been postponed. The game has been rescheduled for April 17 at 4:30 p.m.
In an interesting twist, North Moore moved today's scheduled baseball games with South Davidson back to Thursday in anticipation of today's forecast for rain.
In the varsity game, the Mustangs fell 7-4 to South Davidson in nine innings, while the junior varsity team picked up a 6-5 win over South Davidson.
