Georgia McIver, 92, of Biscoe, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Autumn Care.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today (Friday, March 7), at Briggs-Cameron Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Anne Beach officiating. Burial will be in Biscoe Town Cemetery.

A visitation will be held one hour prior the funeral service at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home, Candor.

Mrs. McIver was born Feb. 2, 1916, in Montgomery County, a daughter of the late Rufus Howell and Malinda Moore Britt. She was a homemaker and was a member of Biscoe Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Gloria McIver Martin and her husband, Charles, of Pineville; a brother, Robert Howell Britt, of Cary; two grandchildren, Christie Bagwell and her husband, Eddie, of Biscoe, and Melinda Martin and Chris Kastl, both of Charlotte; and one great-grandchild, Logan Kastl, also of Charlotte.
