For the 64th time, the Pinehurst Junior Tennis Classic is gearing up to hit the local courts.

This USTA-sanctioned junior tennis tournament will be held July 10-12, bringing junior players from all over North Carolina to compete in the annual event.

Registration for the tournament has started, and continues through July 3. The entry fee is $26 (USTA membership is required).

Players receive a tournament T-shirt, lunch and dinner on the first day of the tournament.

A tennis clinic for all tournament players will be held on Thursday, July 10, at Pinehurst Resort Tennis Center, with plenty of free gifts for the participants. Registration for the tournament can be done on-line (tennislink.usta.com/tournaments/TournamentHome/Tournament.aspx?T=63920)

The tournament is held on some of the best clay courts in the state at Pinehurst Resort, National Tennis Center and the Country Club of North Carolina.

The event is co-sponsored by Moore Tennis, Hagan & Hagan Realty, Johnny O's Awards, Sandhills Trophy & Sports and Lil Dino's.
