On June 7, the Cancer Care Fund's fifth annual Blue Jean Ball was held at the Fair Barn in Pinehurst. Once again, our dream was played out on the dance floor that evening. My sincere thanks go out to all of our sponsors in making this evening such a success.

I cannot thank Talbert Catering, Healy Wholesale and Sodexo enough for a job well done. Once again, they have outdone themselves. I would also like to thank all of the hospital and college volunteers for working so hard as our wonderful wait staff.

Thank you to a wonderful group of volunteer friends who helped decorate and who turned the Barn into a hoe-down heaven.

Two special bands kept the dance floor filled all evening: The Cowboys and The Sand Band. Thanks, guys. As always, you were fabulous! Thank you also to "Jake and Elwood Blues," The Blues Brothers, and the "Band" for bringing some humor to the evening!

I could not have done this event without the tireless efforts from the Blue Jean Ball committee and the Foundation of FirstHealth staff. You all are a true blessing for your support and attendance, which have made it possible for the Cancer Care Fund to continue to help cancer patients and their families here at home.
