Gilbert Theater in Fayetteville will hold auditions for "Assassins," a musical by Stephen Sondheim, at 7 p.m. Monday, July 28, and Tuesday, July 29.

Auditions will be held at 116 Green Street, above the Fascinate-U Children's Museum.

Those coming are asked to use the Bow Street entrance.

The production will be directed by Marcela Casals, with Gail Morfesis serving as musical director.

Needed are eight male principals, two female principals, one female supporting actor along with five to six minor male and female roles.

"Bring a prepared piece to sing and be prepared to read a scene from the script," says a spokesman.

"A CD player and piano accompaniment will be provided."

Music rehearsals start in early-mid August.

Play rehearsals start in late August. The production is slated for Oct. 2-19.
