Danger to Animals

Animal Advocates of Moore County would like to make the public aware of two situations involving animals.

In the Village Acres area, someone is attempting to poison dogs and cats. One cat and one Lab retriever have died, and a second cat has been saved by being rushed to the vet. Be very careful of leaving pets in the backyard with no supervision. Animal Control and the Pinehurst Police are driving through the village to monitor the area.

At Linville Garden condos, someone is setting dangerous Conibear traps. These traps have no licensed trapper's name on them and were set near a walkway where children and animals would pass by.

If anyone has information on either of these problem areas, please call our office at 944-5098 or contact Animal Control 947-2858.
