I want The Pilot's readership to be aware of an entertainment opportunity that is available right here in the Sandhills one Sunday evening a month.

On the evening of July 13, some friends and I went to Mint Juleps in Southern Pines to listen to the music provided by an 18-piece jazz band. They played all of the oldies and goodies ala Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, et. al.

Eddie Barrett and The Goodman Legacy Orchestra had us tapping our feet as we recalled wonderful memories of times past. I feel obligated to share this information. It is truly a wonderful experience.
