The Culinary Showcase: A Taste of Moore, one of the premier events of the fall calendar for the Moore County Chamber of Commerce, comes to the Fair Barn in Pinehurst on Sunday, Sept. 14.

Sixteen of Moore County's chefs will be competing for the Culinary Cup (Best in Show), Best Entre, Best Appetizer, Best Dessert Awards, and People's Choice.

This event showcases Moore County's extraordinary dining scene. The Culinary Showcase is made possibly through a partnership with UNC Pembroke.

It is sponsored by Crescent State Bank, Coastal Federal Credit Union, First Bank, Hamilton Beach, Hobbs Upchurch, Progress Energy, Prudential Gouger O'Neal and Saunders and Time Warner Cable.

Guests can sample the incredible creations for one entry price of $50 per ticket, which includes all food and drink. Live Jazz will be performed by Jerry D, and a raffle will be held to award a trip valued at $1,500 to a culinary location of the winner's choice and an escorted limo tour through Yadkin Valley to visit various wineries and lunch for two.

Doors will open at 5 p.m., with the event concluding at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are limited and will be on sale later this month. Tickets will be available at the Chamber Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
