Cocaine and Money Seized, Two Arrested

Almost $47,000 in cash and 5.4 ounces of cocaine were seized by Moore County sheriff's deputies Monday, according to a press release.
While arresting two individuals in the parking lot of the Kangaroo convenient store located at N. C. 211 and N. C. 15-501 south of Aberdeen, officers found the cocaine, drug paraphernalia and $2,517.
Officers then discovered $44,257 when conducting searches of a residence located at 540 West Maine Avenue in Southern Pines and a residence located at 147 Simmons Street near Pinebluff.
Norman James McNeill, 22, of the Southern Pines residence was one of the individuals arrested. He was charged with four counts of felony trafficking in cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell or
deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, felony maintaining a place to keep controlled substance,
felony sell cocaine, felony deliver cocaine, felony sell controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor resisting a public officer.
His bail was set at $250,000.
Terrance Latraile Harris, 21, of Eastman road in Southern Pines was the other individual arrested. He was charged with two counts of felony trafficking in cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell or
deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting a public officer.
Outstanding warrants from Southern Pines Police Department for felony speeding to elude arrest and misdemeanor resisting a public officer from a previous incident were also served on Harris.
His bail was set at $90,000.
