The PlayHouse, a division of Taylor Dance, presents "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" at Southern Pines Primary School. Performances are 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 29, 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, March 1, and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 2.
"It is obvious these young thespians, with their fourth show under their belts, now have a good taste of what they are in for," says a spokesman.
"There has been lots of hard work as members of the cast prepare for the opening night."
"The PlayHouse Players are a great group of actors who have worked really hard on this wonderful play," says Rita Taylor, director of the Playhouse. "They are powerful and driven by their character's motivation to explore the magical land of Narnia. This story has a strong message about life and family. This has always been one of my favorite stories. I read all the Chronicles of Narnia to my children when they were young, and I have since read them as an adult. Each message is timeless and universal. I think people and children of all ages will love 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.'"
The cast includes: Amani Albrecht, Ryan Baer, Ariana Brenner, Tara Brenner, Frances Capel, Gage Chandler, Katelyn Dowd, Autumn Gibson, Caroline Gibson, Katie Holland, Emily Mackillop, Karen Mackillop, Corina Madrid, Jake Madrid, Madison Madrid, Killian Poplyk, Murphy Poplyk, Andrew Soboeiro, Makayla Swinnie, Tempest Thomas and Malorie Walters.
