The UPS Store at 26 Pinecrest Plaza raised $384 for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation as part of a nationwide "60 Days of Giving" campaign.
Since 2005, The UPS Store and Mail Boxes Etc. network has raised more than $1.3 million for the cause. The money raised locally will benefit children in the surrounding area.
From Oct. 26 through Dec. 24, The UPS Store offered customers the opportunity to purchase Toys for Tots donation cards for $1 each, with 100 percent of proceeds supporting local Toys for Tots efforts.
"The community's participation in the Toys for Tots campaign was a key component to the success of this promotion," said a spokesman for the local UPS Store. "We're pleased that we had the opportunity to help bring smiles to the faces of local children and to help Toys for Tots celebrate its 60th anniversary."
