The Pinehurst Southern Pines Area Association of REALTORS presents the REALTOR of the year award annually to a member of the Association who has demonstrated exemplary leadership within the real estate profession and has served the Association above and beyond the ordinary call of duty. This award is bestowed upon an active broker who represents all that is best about being a REALTOR. The recipient is an individual who embodies the ideals of the REALTOR spirit, has a record of exemplary professional accomplishment, demonstrates high principles, faithfulness to the Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and the Code of Ethics, and advances the principles of good real estate practice among other brokers and the general public.

Since 2005 this illustrious award has been presented to a Coldwell Banker United Realty broker. Pam Hill, the owner of Coldwell Banker United Realty and the 2005 REALTOR of the year recipient, says "it's a great honor to receive such recognition from your peers, and to be able to share in this joy with other brokers in my firm adds to the delight ten fold".

Jana Green, the 2006 recipient stated that it was a pleasure to be presented the award by Pam who is my broker-in-charge and then to be given the opportunity of presenting the 2007 award to my dear friend Cindy was quite an honor.

Cindy Tucker expressed a heartfelt thank you to everyone during the presentation of the award in December. She mentioned that she will always have fond memories of her years as a member of the Association and being presented the REALTOR of the year award by Jana is one of the high points of her career thus far.
