Cobble Mountain Hammock Co. has announced the Southern Pines Feed and Tack is its newest dealer.
Brad and Sharon Pritchard own and operate the 8-year-old store, which has become known primarily for its offerings to the equine market. They offer five lines of feed and hay by the bail or truckload.
Customers can also buy all kinds of tack, including saddles, from a myriad of makers. It offers a wide variety of clothing, as well as jewelry.
Now the store has added Cobble Mountain hammocks, such as a Cobble Mountain chair for relaxing on the porch or that quiet spot in the barn after a full day.
The line of Cobble Mountain Hammock chairs was designed by Gordon Kittridge, of Vermont, who with the help of his wife Nancy, runs the family-owned business in East Corinth, Vt.
"The raw materials start with the finest hammock rope available, which comes from Rocky Mount and progresses with Vermont, harvested oak that is milled, dried, and steamed and bent here in Vermont. Our products are completely handmade here in an old, previously water-powered bobbin mill by local artisans, some of whom have been with us since the 1980s."
"Our design is patented for good reason," Kittridge said. "There is no other hanging casual chair that offers the comfort and versatility of the Cobble Mountain line of chairs. We are thrilled to have been chosen by Brad and Sharon for inclusion in their store."
