Tuxedo Cat Productions Inc., and its founder, publisher, author, and producer, Mary Jane McKittrick, recently signed a contract deal with Kidsville News Inc., publishers of the fastest growing, nationally known family-fun newspaper, to write a monthly feature of her increasingly popular "Boomer and Halley Little Lessons, Big Results" series.

In addition, McKittrick will also be the featured author for the January 2009 issue of the newspaper.

According to McKittrick, she and her collaborator/illustrator Bob Ostrom will produce a "Little Lessons," featuring some of the basic values embedded in the Boomer and Halley books marked by a PAWS button.

The breakthrough learning approach gives adults reading with children a chance to pause and discuss the lessons. Kidsville News is distributed mostly through schools, grades K-6, and boasts a circulation in excess of 1.3 million.

"'The Little Lessons' features for Kidsville News will run the gamut from sportsmanship and team work to manners and obeying parents," says McKittrick. "We will edit an excerpt from the books, with an accompanying illustration, and set up a multiple-choice question for the kids to answer. They will be directed to the 'Fun Stuff' page on our Web site: boomerandhalley.com.

"When they answer the question correctly, they'll be able to download a winning certificate and a chance to win a variety of prizes in the future by returning to the Web site. Other incentives will be provided by Kidsville News."

The new association between Tuxedo Cat Productions and Kidsville News will be formally announced at the Kidsville News annual meeting to be held in Orlando, Fla., next month.

As part of the arrangement, Mary Jane McKittrick will be featured in the January edition as "Author of the Month."

Kidsville News is an educational resource and fun, family monthly newspaper available nationwide.

Since 2005, it has grown to 100-plus editions, with a circulation of more than 1.3 million. Contributing to the popularity of Kidsville News is the publication's easy-to-use Web site and its friendly green dragon mascot, Truman.

Tuxedo Cat Productions Inc., headquartered in Aberdeen, is owned by Mary Jane McKittrick, and produces and publishes the "Little Lessons. Big Results" series of Boomer and Halley books.

The Boomer and Halley book series is available on Amazon and at the Web site www.boomerandhalley.com.
