Sandhills Community College will hold its annual Christmas concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14.
The show is free and will be in Owens Auditorium on the college campus.
The program will feature the Sandhills Community College Choir, Guitar Ensemble and the Moore County Concert Band.
The College Choir, directed by Frances Wilson and accompanied by Jennifer Thomas, will perform a variety of selections including the lovely "Carol of the Bells," the Christmas motet, "O Magnum Mysterium" and "Lo, How a Rose E'er Blooming," by Michael Praetorius.
The choir will sing a swing setting of the holiday classic, "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town," "Up on the House-Top" and the inspiring song, "Believe," from the movie, "The Polar Express."
Students of Danny Infantino will be featured in the Sandhills Community College Guitar Ensemble, who will be performing music by J.S. Bach and Antonio Vivaldi as well as the traditional carols, "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen" and "O Come, All Ye Faithful." Joining the Guitar Ensemble will be special guests, June Infantino, flute and Seren Lyerly, violin.
Tim Haley will direct the Moore County Concert Band in a performance of Leroy Anderson's "Sleigh Ride," "Farandole" from "L'Arlesienne Suite No. 2," by Georges Bizet and "C'est Noel" by Andre Jutras.
The Concert Band will play "A Canadian Brass Christmas," a medley of traditional carols featured on a holiday recording by the Canadian Brass Ensemble.
