The Aberdeen Christmas Parade is at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, in historic downtown Aberdeen.
The Moore Philharmonic Orchestra will perform for "Sounds of the Season" Saturday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m. at Aberdeen Lake Park Recreation Station. Gourmet desserts and coffee will be served.

Brass Concert
Carolina Brass, a national touring ensemble and Summit Recording Artist, has become the premier brass ensemble in the Southeast.
The group will perform a holiday concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at Fair Barn in Pinehurst. Tickets are available for $20 at The Country Bookshop, Southern Pines, King's in the Theatre Building, Pinehurst, or by calling the Pinehurst Village Hall at 295-1900.
Choral Concert
The Pinecrest Choral Program presents "The Heavens Sing for Joy" at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, and 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at the Robert E. Lee Auditorium at Pinecrest High School, Southern Pines.
There will be a silent auction to raise funds for the spring tour to New York. The auction opens at 6 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Final bids will be during Sunday's intermission.
Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for seniors and students.
Blue Farm Christmas
An "Early American Christmas will be celebrated from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Malcolm Blue Farm, in Aberdeen.
From decorating the tree to rocking by the hearth, join children and adults alike as they roll out pie dough, string berries, bake shortbread, pop popcorn, feed the chickens and look in their stockings.
The cost is $5 for adults and $10 per family. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Bryant House Event
An old-time holiday open house will be held at the Bryant House and McLendon Cabin, located at 3361 Mount Carmel Rd., Carthage, from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, and Sunday, Dec. 14.
Guests can tour two historic houses decorated in the traditional manner of the 1700s and 1800s.
Refreshments and musicians will provide holiday cheer. No admission is charged.

Carriage Parade
The Moore County Driving Club's annual Christmas Horse Carriage Parade will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, in the downtown historic district of Southern Pines.

Bake Sale
Trinity A.M.E. Zion Church will hold a Christmas bake sale begininng at noon Saturday, Dec. 13.
"Plan to stock up on homemade goodies including pies, cakes, muffins, rolls and more," says a spokesman. "Buy now and freeze for the holidays."
Money raised will go to benefit the fellowship hall fund.
